Last last week, Apple announced Zombie Farm as the only freemium game in their 2010 Rewind: Top 10 Grossing Apps list.
Because of its tremendous success in 2010, The Playforge is ending the year by releasing an update full of limited edition holiday-inspired crops and decorative items. The update will also introduce a powerful new boss for us zombie-harvesting fans to discover.
“Making it into Apple’s Top 10 Grossing list this year is a colossal milestone for us. It’s inspiring, as we continue our commitment to constantly innovating with fun, highly functional and sometimes pretty ridiculous content for our players,” says Vince McDonnell, creator of Zombie Farm. “Where else can you harvest a friendly zombie, cultivate quirky vegetable mutations, then square off against pirates, lawyers, and now, even aliens?”
The Playforge has revealed that the game has been downloaded more that 7.3 million times, and the player base have expanded to over two million monthy active users!
Zombie Farmers can garnish their freshly snow-covered farms with festive new ornaments that include :
- Santa’s magical sleigh
- Christmas trees
- Candles
- Light adorned fences
- Giant sized candy canes.
Zombie farmers will also be able to add new decor items aswell as create their own winter-wonderland. Players will also be able to harvest a garden of beautiful holly berries.
